Warm Hearth Village provides a wellness-inspired lifestyle on its 220-acre woodland campus, housing a vibrant community of around 600 residents. The community is built on the principle of self-directed retirement, offering tools and resources to help residents create their ideal retirement experience. Warm Hearth Village was founded by Wybe & Marietje Kroontje, Dutch immigrants who dreamt of building a retirement community. Officially incorporated in 1974, the Village has become an integral part of the New River Valley Community for 50 years. The Village consists of diverse living options, including townhomes and apartments, reflecting a commitment to support different senior living needs. It comprises neighborhoods like WoodsEdge and Founders Forest Townhomes, designed with the beauty of the surrounding land and tailored to the active lifestyle of seniors.
