Founded by L.W. and Alta McMullen in 1956, Shady Nook has retained its family-oriented ethos for over half a century. The name 'Shady Nook' was derived from the large catalpa trees encompassing the original facility. Continuing to serve the community, Shady Nook Care Center is currently situated in its third location on Valley Drive in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, carrying forward a long-standing tradition of care and community.
