San Angelo State Supported Living Center

San Angelo State Supported Living Center, part of Texas Health and Human Services, opened its doors in 1969. It spans over a vast area of 1,031 acres and currently houses 129 residents. This living center is dedicated to providing a supportive environment for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The center boasts 550 full-time positions staffed by a diverse team that includes food service workers, building maintenance staff, custodians, direct support professionals, nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists. Managed by Director Elizabeth Love, the center serves a broad area covering 38 counties, from Andrews to Yoakum. It offers considerable benefits and career advancement opportunities to its employees. Family members and friends are encouraged to visit, following an arrangement with the facility. The San Angelo State Supported Living Center is located at 11640 US Highway 87 North, Carlsbad, Texas.
