Rakhma Joy Home
123 South Wheeler Street, Saint Paul, MN 55105
Rakhma Homes offer a unique memory care living environment for individuals in the Twin Cities coping with dementia, Alzheimer's, and other forms of memory loss. Their mission as a non-profit organization does not include discrimination based on financial status, providing equitable access to their services for both private pay residents and those who qualify for various financial assistance programs such as Medical Assistance, GRH, Elderly Waiver, CADI, TBI, and BI waivers. Established by founder Shirley Shaw, Rakhma is rooted in a residential social model of care designed to offer a smaller, intimate environment that successfully minimizes the behaviors associated with dementia by engaging residents in household tasks and establishing stable staffing to foster a sense of calm and security.
