Ocean Breeze Care Home is owned and operated by a Registered Nurse with over 43 years of experience in various aspects of health care. We are a dedicated family, providing you and your loved one exceptional care and comfort in a caring, safe, and homelike environment. We will provide varying levels of non-medical care and supervision to ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents 60 years and above, that require 24-hour care, seven days a week. Our home is centrally located in the hills of San Pedro, overlooking scenic Los Angeles Harbor. Less than a half a mile away from Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital, holder of the Gold Seal Approval rating for its stroke center and rated in the top 5% nationwide for its acute rehab center. Scenic Averill Park is less than 2 blocks away offering paved walkways and bridges’ circling numerous waterfalls and pools. Local churches are a few blocks away. San Pedro is a quiet, but vibrant town offering numerous attractions and social events. Our public Library is 6 blocks away, Movie Theater and shopping center is less than 2 miles away as is Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, open daily and free to the public. Further outings may include Long Beach Aquarium or numerous other museums are less than an hour away. Our local papers are filled with opportunities/events to attend, offering a bit of local culture. I will bring many options to our residents for their input and willingness to attend. Transportation will be provided.

Additional Care Information
Our in-house RN and trained staff will always be ready to provide you with the utmost care. We will be working closely with your doctor and family members monitoring all resident’s prescribed medication needs. With current Dr’s prescriptions, noting symptoms, exact dosage, outlining min hours between dosages, and max number of dosages allowed per 24-hour period, medications will be picked up and delivered to our facility. Administrator will monitor all meds, closely watching for any dosage changes by Dr’s orders and maintain proper levels, refilling when necessary. Incoming meds are logged in residents “Medication Log” and kept on file. Each written, Doctor’s prescription will also be maintained and kept in file. All medications will be stored and locked in Administrator’s office. At appropriate times, Our RN, or specially trained staff will distribute meds and monitor residents with their prescribed, self-administered medications, including assisting with ear, nose & eye drops per written doctor’s orders.
