Oaks At Center In the Woods

The Center in the Woods is a community-centered organization in Southwestern Pennsylvania, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults. With its mission to serve thousands of seniors and their families across 90 communities, the center offers a plethora of community-based programs. These services include congregate and home-delivered meals, various educational and enrichment activities, and support like tax preparation and volunteer opportunities. In collaboration with Presbyterian Senior Care, the center provides senior housing at The Oaks, an independent living facility. Additionally, the center hosts intergenerational programs by partnering with local educational institutions and operates an onsite health clinic with Montgomery Medical, making healthcare accessible to rural residents. Located on Route 88 and opposite the University Park of California University of Pennsylvania, the Center in the Woods operates as a multi-functional community center for older adults. Open from Monday to Friday with extended evening and weekend activities, it serves over 3,000 individuals across five counties. The center is partly funded by the United Way and the Southwestern PA Area Agency on Aging, ensuring accessibility and support for all its members.
