The New City community resides in a historic Chicago landmark, formerly the Goldblatt's Department Store, repurposed as an inclusive community space for seniors. This community is particularly tailored for low-income older adults and operates within the financial framework of the Illinois Supportive Living Program. The facility aims to maintain financial independence for its residents while providing required assistance. Visitations are structured, with the facility open for tours and potential new residents during specific hours from Monday to Friday, and by appointment only on Saturdays. The community prides itself on its supportive living concepts, which compare favorably to costlier assisted living options, without compromising on resident care and services.

The New City Supportive Living community provides three restaurant-style meals per day, which are included in the monthly fee, ensuring that all residents have access to nutritious and delicious meal options.
