The Sisters of Nazareth represent a Catholic religious congregation dedicated to sharing the love of God through their work in care and education. With roots dating back to 1851, the congregation was founded by Victoire Larmenier, who was later known as Mother St. Basil. The Sisters take inspiration from the Holy Family of Nazareth, living out their faith with a commitment to the three vows of Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience, as well as embracing the community life and prayer of the Rule of Saint Augustine. Across the globe, congregations are guided by Superior General and General Council, aiming to reflect the Congregation's core values of Love, Compassion, Patience, Respect, Justice, and Hospitality in all actions.
