Myron Stratton Home

The Myron Stratton Home provides both Independent and Assisted Living options to older persons with limited income. This facility offers a safe, comfortable environment aligned with the legacy of Winfield Scott Stratton who wished to provide for those who are unable to earn a livelihood. The core mission of the Myron Stratton Home is to enhance the quality of life of its residents through housing, programs, services, and community grants. In keeping with its mission, the Myron Stratton Home is dedicated to honoring the dignity of all individuals and meeting the ever-changing needs of its community. It embraces the values of kindness, fairness, and respect, while aiming to preserve and grow its financial endowment through responsible stewardship. The Myron Stratton Home, opened in 1913, serves very-low income seniors and is dedicated to those who qualify for Medicaid. The Home has a total capacity of 114 seniors, with the Winfield House providing assistance for 30 seniors and the independent living program accommodating 84. The community also supports a collaborative consortium to serve poor single mothers and children in need. This consortium occupies 72,000 square feet of the campus and provides vital services to vulnerable populations.
