Mended Reeds, Inc. is a Qualified Residential Treatment Provider (QRTP) which offers individualized treatment programs tailored to meet the specific needs of boys aged 12-17 within a secure and structured environment. These programs usually span 6 to 12 months and are aimed at providing stability, hope, and a return to home life as smoothly and quickly as possible. Mended Reeds is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and licensed by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services, ensuring stringent adherence to quality and safety standards. The treatment programs are embedded in a trauma-focused approach, with family involvement being a key element. Families are encouraged to participate in counseling to facilitate a smooth transition and re-integration into the community. Programs are comprehensive, with options including group therapy, individual counseling, sexual behavior and trauma treatment, addiction recovery, and management of severe emotional disorders. There is a strong emphasis on developing coping skills, independent living skills, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through various wellness activities and educational support on-site. The center features alarmed access doors and dual occupancy college-style bedrooms to foster a sense of independence while maintaining security. Each youth is offered a personalized completion plan from the day of arrival to streamline their progress and eventual return home.
