Memory|Residential Care Home

The Good Samaritan Home has a rich history of over 60 years, serving the Evansville community with dedication rooted in Christian beliefs. Inspired by a passage from the Bible, the initiative began to create a caring facility based on Christian principles geared towards supporting those who could no longer care for themselves. After eight years of concerted efforts from local United Church of Christ congregations, the Good Samaritan Home opened its doors to its first residents on January 15, 1962. Expanding its services, the home now includes 122 skilled nursing beds, 18 residential apartments, and 76 beds in three distinct Memory Care communities. Having been owned and governed by members of the UCC churches, the Home exemplifies a mission of fostering a caring community enriched by Christian love and concern. The Good Samaritan Home emphasizes its continuing dedication to serving the needs of seniors, particularly those requiring skilled nursing care and specialized memory care services.
