Frontier Estates is owned and operated by Abilene Housing, Inc., a non-profit corporation managed by Memorial Health System in Abilene, Kansas. Opening its doors in 1978, Frontier Estates provides independent living apartments specifically designed for low-income senior citizens. This facility offers housing opportunities to individuals aged 62 or over who meet HUD income guidelines. Frontier Estates consists of 60 one-bedroom apartments and is conveniently located minutes away from physician offices, visiting specialists, and Memorial Hospital. Residents enjoy a living environment that promotes independence while providing essential utilities included in the housing arrangement. Frontier Estates is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of its residents. There is a guest registration process in place and a combination lock on the door which is locked at 5:00PM daily. Residents are provided with a key-code for building access after hours, ensuring security and privacy. The community consists of 60 one-bedroom apartments, each offering 620 square feet of living space. It is located in Abilene, Kansas, facilitating easy access to local services and hospital care.
