Evergreen Cottages has 3 Award Winning Communities conveniently located in Katy, Texas. Each Community is a purpose built 16 bed Assisted Living Home. We provide care for people with Alzheimer's and other Dementia in a Residential Home Style Setting. Executive Directors Licensed nurses with special expertise in Alzheimer’s and dementia care available 24 hours a day Caregivers are Alzheimer’s & dementia trained and provide care on site 24 hours a day. Certified Med-Aide provide Residents with Medication administration and management Evergreen Cottages is a Social Model and as such, we are committed to creating a friendly atmosphere that is engaging and Fun for our residents, caregivers, family members, vendors and all those we come in contact with on a daily basis. Our Buildings are Specially designed with Carefully Researched Features that help to enhance the Residents Quality of Life. Features include a Floorplan we call "The NeverLost" building. Non toxic Low VOC Paint, Anti-Microbial Flooring, Large windows and "Sun Tunnels" bring the Natural Blue Spectrum Sunlight into every part of the building, stimulate the mind and inducing a feeling of Well-being. We use an Ozonation Laundry System, removing toxic allergen causing Laundry detergents from use. Services and Amenities As an assisted living and memory care home, Evergreen Cottages has licensed nurses and staff available 24 hours a day. Caregivers receive monthly training sessions to ensure residents are receiving the most up to date care. With this training staff is able to prevent stress and provide service with the utmost care. Evergreen Cottages is a secure location with a non-invasive monitoring system in place to ensure the safety of residents. During their time, seniors will have access to many on-site services and amenities to take the hassle of everyday chores off their plate. Services offered include individualized care plans, medicine administration, daily housekeeping, and many more. On-site cooks provide tasty, nutritious snacks and three full meals a day that meet the dietary needs of each senior. Life Enrichment Quality of life is dependent upon a person’s physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being. Our Life Enrichment staff utilizes the latest therapies to develop personalized one-on-one activities and programs designed to bring joy, touch, engage, connect, and create many meaningful moments.

Physical Activity: Physical Activity has benefits on so many levels “Movement is Life” and a “Healthy Body makes for a Healthy Mind” we all grew up with this advice and it rings true as you grow older and realize that the Body does not like to cooperate if it's allowed to remain in slumber for too long. This rings especially true for people with Dementia. Losing the cognitive ability to determine when it’s time to exercise, the types of activity that are appropriate for aging seniors and indeed for how long an older adult should be active are all important aspects that play into their wellbeing. Having a Planned approach to physical activities that are age appropriate, fun and of a duration suitable for our older adults in our care are all part of our wellness plan. Tai Chi, Chair Yoga and Breathing exercises are activities enjoyed by our residents daily. Carried out by our Caregivers and by visiting specialists, these activities get endorphins activated helping our residents stay alert, nimble and happy.
