DEAF, Inc. at Heritage Square Assisted Living in Fort Worth has spent two years renovating and moving Deaf and Deaf/Blind residents to their new facility. Run by WGH Heritage, Inc., the community offers a specialized environment for these residents with four halls of apartments, three of which have been ADA-wired and renovated. The community eagerly anticipates the completion of renovations on the fourth hall, which will house 18-20 new residents. They are ready to accept new applications, inviting deaf or Deaf/Blind senior citizens who need assisted living to apply. This facility is a long-standing part of the community, aiding this specific population since 1989. The DEAF, Inc. community is accommodated in a building consisting of four different halls containing resident apartments. Currently, three of these halls have been ADA wired and fully renovated, while renovations on the fourth hall are underway to expand capacity. DEAF, Inc. offers one and two-bedroom apartments and is proud of its historical service, having supported the Texas Deaf and Deaf/Blind community for many years. This facility serves both private pay residents and those participating in the state Medicaid Star Plus Program, providing financial support for eligible individuals.
