Residential Care Home

Breckenridge Village is a caring community for adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, with a focus on spiritual, social, mental, emotional, and physical development. The community operates with a mission to provide a nurturing and empowering environment, grounded in Christian values. The origins of Breckenridge Village trace back to Robert and Jean Breckenridge's vision of creating a faith-based home for adults with intellectual disabilities. Their dream became a reality with support from Green Acres Baptist Church and BCFS, opening its doors in 1998. Over the years, Breckenridge Village has grown, serving as a beacon of hope for families across Texas and beyond. Breckenridge Village provides a comprehensive range of residential services tailored to the unique needs of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Located on an 80-acre campus in Tyler, Texas, the community offers a serene environment among tall trees and rolling hills, promoting independence and personal growth through a person-centered approach. Residents are supported by a 24/7 live-in staff through the Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) Medicaid Waiver Program. They have access to individualized case management, medical personnel, and participate in day programs designed to enhance life skills and social interaction.
