Alternative Services Inc

Alternative Services Michigan Inc. (ASI) is a non-profit organization founded in 1978. It played a crucial role in assisting the State of Michigan through the 1980s with the transition from large state institutions to community-based services, known as de-institutionalization. ASI is recognized for its creation of barrier-free group homes and now manages approximately 75 sites, serving 300 consumers statewide. The organization is committed to offering integrated options for individuals living with disabilities, focusing on providing person-centered services that empower individuals by giving them as much control over their lives as possible. Their mission is to support people to experience meaningful lives, maintaining core values that reflect this dedication.
